Who We Are:

Wrestling Podium Radio was founded by Elham Heidari Parnian, an Iranian-Canadian National Wrestling Referee and freelance wrestling journalist, alongside co-founder Marzieh Darabi in 2015. Built on the foundation of showcasing the unparalleled legacy of wrestling—one of the world’s oldest Olympic sports—our organization aims to bridge tradition with progress.

Journalism and Gender Equity

As a non-profit association registered under Alberta Corporate Registry, Canada, Wrestling Podium Radio champions the values of inclusivity and representation. Central to our mission is the belief that increasing the presence of female professionals—journalists, referees, and commentators—in international wrestling tournaments fosters a balanced narrative and aligns with the International Olympic Committee's vision for gender equity in sports.

Voice of Podium: Amplifying Wrestling's Diversity

Voice of Podium is the flagship podcast of Wrestling Podium Radio, created and produced by female journalists passionate about telling wrestling’s untold stories. True to our mission of promoting gender equity and representation, the podcast focuses on elevating the voices and achievements of cultures and nations that often receive less recognition in mainstream narratives. Alongside these underrepresented perspectives, we feature legendary Olympic and World Champions, showcasing their inspiring journeys as role models. By challenging dominant narratives and spotlighting wrestling's rich global diversity, we aim to inspire and empower the wrestling community worldwide.
